Climate justice and aviation – workshop for cultural organisations
Join an online workshop focusing on the intersection of climate justice and aviation, specifically tailored for cultural organisations. The session will help you think about how you can make decisions around flights and climate justice to work towards a climate-just world.
This workshop has been tailored by Creative Carbon Scotland (CCS) for cultural organisations. It is based on material from Stay Grounded, a global network of more than 200 member organisations including CCS, that aims to exchange experiences, support each other, and foster a reduction of aviation and its negative impacts on climate and health.
Michaela Leitner from Stay Grounded will provide her perspective throughout the presentation and there will be the opportunity to ask her questions. Michaela is Coordinator of European Campaign Partners and Multipliers with a focus on travel policies of organisations, she has an academic background in sociology and transdisciplinary sustainability research and is active in the climate justice movement in Austria.
The session, will also feature Ondine Oberlin from Imaginate, who will provide a case study about her experience from the Stay Grounded training and how it’s informed Imaginate’s approach to climate justice. She will also discuss their work on reduction of travel emissions, including how they’ve used carbon budgeting for travel.
